In Guaraú, about 320 species of birds are found, more than a third of all those occurring in the Atlantic Forest! This region is home to a mosaic of different ecosystems, in which 30 species endemic to Brazil and 11 globally threatened with extinction are found! Several species of multicolored “saíras”, toucans, hummingbirds, “sucuruás”, “choquinhas”, sandpipers, “saracuras”, among others, are easily observed.
